Come and enjoy the Alps in winter with the NSAC! After last year’s succes we are busy organising the WP for 2027. From 31st of January until the 19th of February we will visit the wonderful village of Niederthai, located in Ötztal, Austria.
For the NSAC, this is a familiar location: last year WP also took place here. There is much to find there: Niederthai is a beautiful village 200 meters away from the ski piste, with a great chalet as our base. Within 25 minutes you’re in the Hochötz ski area, and within an hour you can reach four more ski areas (including Sölden). This region offers everything: phenomenal free riding, peak ski-touring and rock solid ice climbing. The perfect place for an unforgettable WP!

The Program
Every year the NSAc organises multiple courses, from beginner to advanced, and from ice climbing to ski-touring.
- The ski-touring and freeride courses are for skiers and snowboarders that want to challenge themself, discover the off-piste and make unguided tours.
- The ice climbing course is for everyone who has summer mountaineering experience, and wants to discover the world of winter alpinism.
- Whether you are a skier, a snowboarder, an ice climber or a winter mountaineer (or want to become one!): there is always a course for you.
The Chalet & Visiting
Again, we have a wonderful NSAC-winterchalet as our base for the courses. Of course, it is also possible to visit: for only 30 euros per night you can sleep in the chalet and enjoy great breakfast and hot meals from our wonderful cooking staff.
Volunteers wanted!
Do you want to stay a week in the chalet for free, and receive everlasting gratitude from the participants and instructors? Register as cooking staff in the registration form! Cooking experience for large groups is a handy skill for this role. Do you want to cook with your friends? You can register as a group together. Unfortunately, it is not possible to follow a course and be part of the cooking staff at the same time.

WP-Committee 2027
Meet the 2027 WP-committee: Robin, Luca, Maickel, Monty and Juna! We are all huge fans of being outside in the snow, and together we work hard to organise the perfect Winter Programme so we can share all this enthusiasm, community and the physical challenge of winter sports with you!
What do we do as a committee?
Well… everything! From valley to peak, we arrange the Winter Programme:
- We organise the chalet where everyone can sleep, eat and party.
- We choose the areas and dates.
- We organise all the courses and match them with the right instructors.
- We make sure there is a cooking staff that will conjure up the most wonderful meals.
- We keep an eye on the budget.
- And of course: we are ready to answer any of your questions.
In short: without us, no WP. But with us: a wonderful winter adventure to never forget!
