Every year, the NSAC organizes a meeting place where all SAC members from across the country can gather to embark on hikes together. Whether you’ve just completed C1, are an experienced mountaineer, or have never been to the mountains before, everyone is welcome!
The NSAC alpine campsite promises an unforgettable summer! Enjoy spectacular alpine hikes, multi-pitch climbs with breathtaking views, and cozy evenings around the campfire.
Camping 2025
From July 5th to July 25th, the NSAC will once again be held in the Alps. The 2026 NSAC camping will take place in Ailefroide, France.
Ailefroide is a beautiful alpine paradise, nestled in the heart of the Ecrins. There’s plenty to do and something for everyone: mountaineering, multi-pitch, single-pitch, or simply a beautiful mountain hike.
More information about the camping, costs, and more will follow as soon as possible.
The NSAC facilitaties the camping, so there is one hotspot for SACers to meet up. Your tent, material, transport, cookware, food, etc. are your own responsibility! Every year there is a carpoolsheet to find travel buddies.
The NSAC board looks forward to seeing you in France! 🙂
Are you still looking for travel companions to reach the campsite? Or would you like to connect with other NSAC campers? Then you’re most welcome to join this WhatsApp group.

Equipment
There’s no climbing equipment available at the campsite. Please bring all the necessary equipment with you.

Responsibility
Mountaineering is a fantastic sport, and there’s nothing more beautiful than being on the road in the Alps with your fellow SAC members. However, the mountains can also be very unpredictable and dangerous. Therefore, be aware of the following when coming to the NSAC campsite:
There is no responsible framework in place to guarantee your safety. More experienced climbers may want to accompany less experienced climbers. This is, of course, very welcome; after all, the NSAC is a foundation where members can learn from each other. However, you can’t just expect someone to take you under their wing. You always remain responsible for your own safety and for properly planning your trips using topos, guidebooks, maps, information from the hut innkeeper, the guide office, the weather forecast, etc. You are also responsible for assessing your own level (and that of your companions).
Useful information & telephone numbers
For emergencies:
In case of direct emergency: 112
NSAC emergency number: +31 (0)6 40 03 35 96
Between July 1st and August 31st, the NSAC board must always carry the emergency telephone with them.
