Ice Climbing

If you already have experience with rock climbing (OV status) and summer alpinism (C2 course), this course is an ideal addition to make you an all-round alpinist.

Objective
On the first day of the course, you will be introduced to the basic ice climbing movements and how to make the most of your axes and crampons. During the rest of the week, you will alternate between top rope climbing and lead climbing. Attention will also be paid to, among other things, belay construction, abseiling technique in ice, estimating ice conditions and alpine hazards.

Touring week

There will be the opportunity to go touring in the chalet in Cunter. The requirement for this week is of course that you can ice climb and have experience through a course or a good description of the reasons why it is likely that you can ice climb independently. An instructor will be present in the chalet in the week of February 2-7.
