Fé – Commissaris ZP Intern

Hi everyone! I’m Fé, and this year I have the honor of fulfilling the role of “Summer Queen” alongside Esther! As your ZP Commissioner Internal, I am responsible for all internal affairs. This includes organizing the selection days, creating the weekly schedules, and of course, handling the promotion so that everyone knows just how fantastic the Summer Program is!

When I started studying in Utrecht in 2022, I had to choose a sport. The shortlist consisted of climbing, pole dancing, and rugby, but the mountains (and especially the people who love them as much as I do) lovingly pulled me into the SAC world. I immediately made climbing my entire personality and completed a C1 course with the ZP during my very first year.

In the meantime, I’ve moved to Eindhoven, which gives me the privilege of being a member of both USAC and ESAC! These days, my heart leans a bit more toward mountaineering than sport climbing, and I am currently training to become a certified instructor. I truly enjoy helping others experience the same joy in climbing that I do! To ensure the mountains aren’t just accessible in the summer, I’ve taken up skiing and will be enthusiastically joining the Winter Program for the second time this year.

I am really looking forward to working behind the scenes to ensure we have another unforgettable summer, and I hope to see you all at the selection days and in the mountains!

Esther – Commissaris ZP Intern

Hi everyone! I’m Esther, and this year I’m the “Summer Queen” alongside Fé! I’ve been a member of USAC for four years now, but I’ve had the privilege of being in the mountains since I was three, when my parents first put me on plastic skis. By the time I was five, they had me hiking between mountain huts with a backpack filled with a sleeping liner and a teddy bear. You could say the mountains are in my blood, even if we didn’t wander off-trail very often back then. Since joining USAC, I’ve discovered ski touring and mountaineering, and I’m incredibly hyped to keep improving those skills.

Over the past few years, I’ve had amazing experiences with USAC—where I served as President last year—as well as with the NSAC’s Winter and Summer Programs! Events like Utrecht-Freyr, the Batavierenrace, and the Battle of the SACs (BotS) are circled in red in my calendar every year (I actually did a little jump for joy when I heard the Bata is happening again this year!), and you’ll likely run into me at many a Dies as well.

Like most of you, I’m happiest in the mountains, so that’s exactly where you’ll find me whenever I have a break from my medical internships. Due to a somewhat “clumsy” coincidence, I am also on the Winter Program committee this year. I’m super excited for both the upcoming Winter and Summer Programs and hope to see many of you there!

Bram

Hi! I’m Bram, a fourth-year Yeti, 21 years old, and an Industrial Design Engineering student in Delft. Last year, I served as the treasurer for Yeti, and before that, I was active in various committees. I’m eager to use this experience to strengthen the ZP Committee this year.

I personally participated in the C1 and C2 Hike & Fly courses, which I found incredibly fun and educational. Following those courses, I’ve had a great time mountaineering with fellow SAC members. Because I enjoyed those experiences so much myself, I am very excited to be organizing courses for my fellow SAC members this year. I look forward to working with the committee to put together a strong and varied summer program and to meeting you all in the mountains.

Meike

Hello! I’m Meike, and this year I’ll be organizing the selection day and the preparation weekend for the C2 courses. Three years ago, I did a C1 in Austria and immediately followed it up with a C2 course the very next year. The mountains are just so amazing—you can never get enough of them. Ideally, I’d spend the entire summer in the Alps like some kind of nomad. After living in Norway for six months, I’ve become even more obsessed with the mountains and climbing. So, I’m really looking forward to next summer. And oh yeah, I also love contributing to the SAC world to make sure everyone can enjoy the mountains as much as possible!

Lisa

Hi! I’m Lisa, and this is my first year on the ZP Committee. As a second-year member of LSAC, I am active in organizing our climbing weekends. Since I wanted to get even more involved in organizing, I’m happy to be helping with the C1 course (and Kick-off) and the canyoning course! Last summer, I ventured into canyoning for the first time, and I definitely want to keep going with it. I hope to contribute to a great summer program for all SAC members!
