  • Deepen your avalanche knowledge and learn how to apply it in practice.
  • Learn how to interpret avalanche reports.
  • Practice handling your avalanche gear (beacon, shovel, probe) and perform a rescue in a controlled setting.

  • Fitness: Able to ski off-piste all day.
  • Experience: At least two weeks of off-piste skiing.
  • Avalanche knowledge: Basic avalanche knowledge (Off-piste basics, WePowder Safety Module 1, or equivalent).

Note: During the kick-off, all participants will take a short test of their knowledge of WePowder Safety Module 1. You can buy or borrow this module yourself. This test is also mandatory for participants who have taken the ASS3 course (formerly Off-piste Basic Technique). This is not a selection criteria but to test and refrech your knowledge.
