PVB Weekends
The next PvB weekend of 2026 will take place on 6-7th of June in Freyr.
Registrations for the weekend of June 6-7th will be open until May 10th. You can sign up through this link: https://forms.gle/PxzNFHe77TqhA5Ut7
Registration does not guarantee an actual PvB exam. You will be contacted as soon as possible after the registrations have closed with further information and the planning.
This year too, we will strictly adhere to the deadlines set by the NKBV.
- The deadline for registering is one month before the PvB weekend.
The deadline for submitting your portfolio in FLOWSPARKS is three weeks in advance.
A few more points of attention, mainly for the learning coaches and the candidates:
- Each candidate’s learning coach must be aware that they intend to take the exam.
- Registration is only final once payment has been completed. The payment details can be found in the registration form. Some SACs will reimburse (part of) the costs. Check with your own SAC for the applicable rules
- SKI candidates must possess a valid first aid certificate or have this course scheduled at the time of registration.
- For a Personal Skills and MP exam, you must arrange one climber yourself. For a SKI exam, you must arrange four climbers yourself.
The next PvB weekend of 2026 will take place on October 10-11. Sign ups will open 1,5 months beforehand.
EHBBO courses
This year we have not managed to organize a EHBBO course in the spring like usual. I outline below the 3 options for instructors in training that need to complete their EHBBO.
- The ESAC is organizing an EHBBO divided into 4 evenings which is open to other SAC’s as well. The first evening already starts on the 20th of April. You can find more info here: https://esac.nl/agenda/2614
- The TSAC organizes an EHBBO on the weekend of 30-31st of May in Enschede. The costs are 75€ for instructors in training that are required to do an EHBBO to complete their training. For everybody else it is 150€. You can contact jetse.verschuren@tsac.
alpenclub.nl if you would like to participate in this course. Deadline for signing up is 2 weeks in advance, but it is on first come first serve basis. - On June 6th there is the option to follow an EHBBO course with Outdoor Medicine in Amsterdam. The link for signing up is here: https://forms.gle/5QMF7jwHQNgyYEbd9. It is possible to get an NKBV subsidy for this course (half of the price, up until 100€ max subsidy). To apply for this you need to contact the NKBV through opleidingen@nkbv.nl once you have completed the course and attach proof of completion + the costs. This subsidy is only available to instructors that must complete an EHBBO course to finish their training. For those that would like to do their PvB exam on the 6-7th of June but would also like to do their EHBBO on the 6th of June you can contact vice.praeses.nsac@gmail.com and we will see if we can plan in your PvB on the 7th so you can participate in both.
These courses are intended for anyone who would like to learn to provide first aid (in mountainous terrain). Instructors in training will be given priority in this course.
For SKIers who still need a first aid certificate to be eligible for the exam, please know that this is not a problem. It’s perfectly fine to take your first aid certificate after your PvB, as long as it’s scheduled during your exam.
